Cada 5-6 anys es poda totalment i torna a produir en sis mesos. El mateix arbust pot viure 40-50 anys.<\/p>\n<p>En el nostre viatge a Sri Lanka vam veure com es fa la sembra seguint el contorn de la terra, preferentment als vessants de la muntanya. El clima humit i c\u00e0lid de l'illa afavoreix la seva producci\u00f3 durant tot l'any. El 85% de la seva producci\u00f3 \u00e9s per a exportaci\u00f3. Es trien els trossos m\u00e9s fins. Els que han quedat gruixuts, es tornen a pr\u00e9mer. En total aquest proc\u00e9s es realitza tres vegades.<\/li>\n<li>2. Nom\u00e9s el te negre es fermentar\u00e0 amb aire natural durant 2,5 hores. Els temps de fermentaci\u00f3 fluctuen segons la temperatura i humitat i el proc\u00e9s requereix molta atenci\u00f3 perqu\u00e8 sigui un \u00e8xit. Secat a 120\u00ba durant 22 minuts.<\/p>\n<p>5. Durant els mesos de febrer i mar\u00e7, tamb\u00e9 a setembre, s'aconsegueixen les millors varietats. El mateix pel que fa a l'altitud: al centre de l'illa, (2000 m sobre el nivell del mar), s'obtenen els tes m\u00e9s delicats, encara que m\u00e9s dif\u00edcils i m\u00e9s cars.<\/p>\n<p>Hem vist doncs, que el<strong> te verd i el te negre<\/strong> s\u00f3n la mateixa planta, per\u00f2 amb processos diferents.
